This delicious pumpkin and banana bread is the perfect dessert or side dish during cooler seasons, such as in the fall or during winter holiday meals. It"s made with simple ingredients, but its aromatic smell envelops us so much!

01 3 tbsp ground flax seeds + water
02 4 cups whole wheat flour
03 1 cup coconut sugar + 1 ½ cup applesauce
04 1 teaspoon each ground cloves, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg
05 2 cups ripe bananas + 2 level cups pumpkin purée
06 2 teaspoon baking soda + 1 teaspoon baking powder + ½ teaspoon salt
In a large bowl, stir the sugar, mashed bananas, pumpkin puree, and flax mixture (flax eggs).
Combine whole wheat flour, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Transfer the dough in two lightly oiled 20 cm-(8 in-) loaf pans or four 15 x 7.5 x 5 cm (6 x 3 x 2 in) mini loaf pans.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick or knife inserted in the center comes out clean. If using mini loaf pans, check for readiness after 30 minutes.
